Bender is many things to many people. Some folks see him as a brilliant vision of our future; others see him as a disgusting icon of everything wrong with animation today. Bite My Shiny Metal Ass

Bender’s practically famous. Other robots of his model (Bending Unit 22) probably spend their days bending girders, wishing they could be more like him. Among Bender’s many admirable traits are lying, cheating, and stealing. It’s hard to blame a robot based on a MOS Technology 6502 microprocessor for that. After all, our C64s used to get busted at the local convenience store all the time for underage drinking. And we ain’t even going to tell you what the Apple IIe got into.

Bender gazes at a field of stars and planets from the lower corner of this navy blue, fitted t-shirt. He could be pondering one of the deep philosophical truths about the universe, but we’re guessing he’s just trying to work “pimpmobile” into a sentence.

Hey Sexy Mama… Wanna Kill All Humans?

Sure the Three Laws of Robotics are good for humans… but our favorite outlaw robot doesn’t live by the rules. (Plus, Mom’s Friendly Robot Company probably left that bit out of their bending units’ programming as a cost-saving measure.) He’s less likely to obey orders given by a human than to tell that same human to bite his shiny metal ass. And, occasionally, he has to kill all humans.

Gremlins has always been one of our favorite movies here at TheBoredIT (please forget the sequels). Cute little Gizmo just seemed like the perfect pet even considering his ability to spawn a slew of deadly dopplegangers from a few drops of water. We assume Mogwai must be pretty smelly however as they are never able to take a bath. Plus the mysteries of Mogwai procreation seem nonsensical as we can’t seem to understand how more cute cuddly creatures like Gizmo would survive long considering his evil siblings.

Now you can take your own cuddly plush Gizmo home with you. He’s a little smaller than life-size and looking a bit mischievous. Please don’t get him wet, expose him to bright lights or feed him after midnight. We can’t be responsible for the consequences.

New iPods today?

Well, apple doesn’t seem to stop from amusing us. Today at 1pm Eastern Time “El Jobso” Steve Jobs will introduce a new line up of iPods. Many people haven’t noticed but apple revamps its line up every year at this time (in order to get the iPods ready for the holidays). So it’s time to start login to the sites that will be covering this event so we can drool over our keyboards when we see the new iPod models.
My guess is they will be announcing a new iPod touch with GPS, vibration and volume control (they are selling apps that are generating millions of dollars).
New iPod Nanos with higher capacity and another new function maybe oled displays on the control wheel (some tall images resembling the first and second gen nanos have been circulating around)
I also guess they will be adding wireless synching and maybe the solar changing thing they have been rumoring around. And who knows, maybe the much talked about Mac tablet or the Mac palm (hey we can keep dreaming, right).

So hold on to your seats and let’s wait for what apple has to offer this time.
