Cyberpunk Lute of the Future

The moment we ran our fingers over the touchpad of the Kaossilator and heard the otherworldly sounds of the future we were hooked. This pocket sized music synthesizer is like nothing we’ve seen before. Rather than using keys or buttons to play musical notes, the Kaossilator features a revolutionary touchpad design. Move your finger from left to right to change the pitch of the note, and up and down to change the sound. But musical sounds are only the beginning, the Kaossilator can also be used like a drum kit with dozens of built in beats and drum sounds. Plus you get some amazing sound effects from laser blasts to Pac Man. You can put everything to good use with the built-in loop recording feature which lets you layer virtually unlimited tracks to create complex songs combining lead instruments, drum beats and sound effects together.

You would think that all this power at your fingertips might be difficult to wield… but actually we were pretty amazed at how easy it is to make some great sounding music. You’ll almost feel guilty belting out some danceable beats with virtually no effort. The Kasossilator is also a great tool for DJs and allows you to tap your finger to the beat of any existing music, this sets the beats per minute and then you can play along with all your beat loops in sync. You can change the key you play in, or choose from different scales… and you get tons of different arpeggiator patterns. But we digress… watch the video and all will be revealed young grasshopper.

You have to accept it, we make a great genetic improvement. Just imagine your looks with our brains, damn those kids would be darn pretty and such great smart asses.

So in order to understand us you must know the following:

Geeks are human, yes, but sometimes they seem like a different species. They have social interactions that don’t resemble anything else found in nature; they have language aspects and conventions that go against rational thought; and they many times have a unique body odor. Ok, ok. We have that unique body odor, too. For we are they and they are you and we are you and… we’re all geeks. And we need people to understand us so they can date us. This book helps.

It asks the reader “Are you dating a geek?” If so, find out just how geeky he is in “The Geek Test.” Learn how to cope with his geekiness in sections such as: “Getting What You Want” and “How to Exercise Your Geek.” Also, discover how to plot revenge, diagnose common geek ailments, and find the perfect gift for your geek.
Retro Styled Tin Sign With Futuramaism!

This genuine tin sign forces you to realize on a daily basis the corporate mantra to shut up and do your job. It’s the ideal office decor for the demanding technologist who thinks they are actually going to go somewhere in life. Perfectly sized to fit anywhere (assuming anywhere is perfectly matched to fit this sign) — this sign is sure to tickle your funny bone precisely when you don’t need a reality check.

This fully licensed tin sign is 8.5 inches by 6.5 inches and contains a hanging hole on cardboard backing for easy wall display. Optionally you can just place it on your desk using the included easel back. Best yet is that your tin sign arrives with 4 super strong ‘power peg’ magnets in the form of tacks so you can place those pointless post-its perfectly on your placard. No alliteration intended. It just happened. The sign itself says ‘You’re not paid to think. A mindless worker is a happy worker. Shut up and do your job!’. Choose to obey at your own personal risk.

Everybody loves a sarcastic, galactically saavy, cigar smoking, prank prone, selfish, beer drinking robot. Enter Bender. Bender was his mothers 1729th son. His father killed by a can opener, Bender went on to college and majored in Bending and minored in Robo-American studies. This Unit 22 Bending Unit is proof positive that every desktop needs a tin metal, intriguing wind-up robot before it can be considered complete. Yep.

8.5″ tall wind up die cast interactive Bender, from Futurama (fully licensed). Twist the antenna on top of his head and his expression will change from ‘normal’ bender to ‘angry’ bender. Perfect to fend off unwanted visitors. Optionally insert an included cigar into his mouth for those times when Bender just needs to mellow down. Bare Metal Metal Bender includes a can of Mom’s Old Fashioned Robot Oil and a cigar! And arms articulate! Wind up key to make Bender walk inserts into side and is removable (his arms will also swing while in motion!). Open up Bender’s ribcage compartment and see what’s going on inside! Or just wind him up and let him walk all over your TPS reports. He doesn’t care. He’s bender, you new best desktop friend with an attitude.

Bender is many things to many people. Some folks see him as a brilliant vision of our future; others see him as a disgusting icon of everything wrong with animation today. We see Bender as a role model. If everyone was as honest as he was and forthcoming with their thoughts and feeling, the world would be a better place. We are proud to offer this 12″ representation (a noble size) of Bender for you to display on your desk.
Bender’s practically famous. Other robots of his model (Bending Unit 22) probably spend their days bending girders, wishing they could be more like him. Among Bender’s many admirable traits are lying, cheating, and stealing. It’s hard to blame a robot based on a MOS Technology 6502 microprocessor for that. After all, our C64s used to get busted at the local convenience store all the time for underage drinking. And we ain’t even going to tell you what the Apple IIe got into.

Bender gazes at a field of stars and planets from the lower corner of this navy blue, fitted t-shirt. He could be pondering one of the deep philosophical truths about the universe, but we’re guessing he’s just trying to work “pimpmobile” into a sentence.

Plus the mysteries of Mogwai procreation seem nonsensical as we can’t seem to understand how more cute cuddly creatures like Gizmo would survive long considering his evil siblings.

Now you can take your own cuddly plush Gizmo home with you. He’s a little smaller than life-size and looking a bit mischievous. Please don’t get him wet, expose him to bright lights or feed him after midnight. We can’t be responsible for the consequences.

Well, apple doesn’t seem to stop from amusing us. Today at 1pm Eastern Time “El Jobso” Steve Jobs will introduce a new line up of iPods. Many people haven’t noticed but apple revamps its line up every year at this time (in order to get the iPods ready for the holidays). So it’s time to start login to the sites that will be covering this event so we can drool over our keyboards when we see the new iPod models.
My guess is they will be announcing a new iPod touch with GPS, vibration and volume control (they are selling apps that are generating millions of dollars).
New iPod Nanos with higher capacity and another new function maybe oled displays on the control wheel (some tall images resembling the first and second gen nanos have been circulating around)
I also guess they will be adding wireless synching and maybe the solar changing thing they have been rumoring around. And who knows, maybe the much talked about Mac tablet or the Mac palm (hey we can keep dreaming, right).

So hold on to your seats and let’s wait for what apple has to offer this time.

Don’t forget to come back and comment on which things I predicted correctly by the end of the day.

Adios.

Miracle Fruits (sometimes called Miracle Berries) have been a secret wonder of the world for centuries. Though they were first documented by a French dude in 1725, they’d been consumed for many generations prior. They were eaten before meals to make the meals taste better. “How?” you ask. By making sour and bitter foods taste sweet. “But how?” you scream. The truth is, science doesn’t completely know (it has something to do with the protein miraculin that bonds to your taste buds, but the exact cause is still a mystery). But the berries work, and it’s a miracle.

Miracle Berry Fruit Tablets

Dissolve half a tablet on your tongue and sour and bitter foods will taste sweet

Flavor-bending effects can last up to 1 hour

No harmful side effects (other than wanting more)

Each tablet is 3/8″ in diameter and is two servings (10 tablets/20 servings per box)

Take 1/2 a tablet – or take a whole one for a more intense experience

Ingredients: Miracle Berry powder and corn starch – nothing else!

So this weekend is one of those which I’ve been dreaming of months ago, you know, the time comes when all the tension of doing nothing finally pays up! So what could be greater than owning one of this Mobile relaxation device!?

Hammocks have been the classic symbol of relaxation and kicking back without a care in the world. Just swaying back and forth on a lazy afternoon and maybe taking a short trip to slumberland. Ahhh…lovely. The only catch is that you need some proper supports (like a couple of trees) to hold up your hammock while you enjoy all this relaxation. This tends to make the hammock a little less portable than we’d like.

The Portable Mesh Hammock solves this problem by having its own support. The steel frame construction folds up easily and sets up in seconds with no tools required. The hammock comes with a compact carrying bag with shoulder straps for hands-free portability. Perfect for relaxing moments, and now you can carry one wherever you go.

Ah… Sometimes being good all the time doesn’t feel right for some reason. Just once in a while you need to do something out of the ordinary to prove your point (like building a giant laser or radio control other people’s minds errr.. o.k. not that far out of the ordinary). So I found this GREAT book at thinkgeek, here’s what they say about it:

Electronics fans have waited a long time for this book. Not since 1983 has author Bob Iannini published a collection of his amazing projects – all of them fun, easy and inexpensive to make at home and, best of all, seriously exciting and impressive! Iannini takes the stuff of science fiction and science future and brings it down to size for the home hobbyist. Full of easy-to-follow plans and clear diagrams and schematics, and respectful of your wallet, Electronic Gadgets for the Evil Genius give you:

Illustrated instructions and plans for amazing pretested projects advanced enough for sophisticated electronics enthusiasts but described in sufficient details to be built easily by newcomers.

Explanations of the science and math behind each project (e.g., you can explore different methods of achieving acceleration).

Frustration-free plans – needed parts are listed, along with sources – and most of these projects can be built for $100 or less.

Create, Design, and Build Your Own:

Mass Driver

Pyrotechnic Blaster (used in metal design)

Magnetic Pulse Can Crusher

Robotic Control and other Circuits Disabler with Pulse

Generator

Object Catapult

Electromagnetic Launcher

Laser Beam Cutter

Body Heat Detector

Lightning Bolt Generator

Object Levitation Device
