I’m concern about global warmming, wich is a global warning too, that’s why I’m looking for green news. I’ve seen lizards, coral reefs, bugs, rainforest, etc. Everything is going straight to hell!

I was tryin’ to calculate the amount of trees lost in Amazon, but it’s a big number so big that I saw useless to bother. Better find solutions.

When ‘Off the Ground’ album was released and toured by Paul McCartney in 1994, some brochures and panplets were distributed in the audience. By the time Paul and Linda McCartney was picking their pro-earth activism. In one of those magazines y readed this little phrase:

“Think globally, act locally”

Why, after almost 15 years, I remembered this? First, I don’t think too much, so it’s almost impossible to think globally. Second, I’m not a really acting people, I prefer to watch. But now I gotta change, ’cause even I’m a little lazy for everything, I like dogs, wich as much as I know, they belong to the animal kindom. Seriously I like wildlife, I mean, natural wild life.

Every day, when drivin’ to the office (sorry guys, I can not reveal our exact location -not because it’s a ‘top secret’, but because I don’t have a clue of where I am); So I was sayin’, when driving to the office I drive about two miles with the BEST view of all: In clean days as today, I can see our two volcanoes with their top all snowed, it’s a magnificent scene, what a view!

But roll your eyes down and will see this dirty blured smog line in the horizont. That was the reminder of this “…act locally” phrase. I would like to say more, but I think it will be in another moment, ’cause I’ve just been informed that I’m FIRED from here…

I think it was for that stinky bomb I’ve lost in the kitchen… whatever.

When I was a little boy -a couple of years since then- I really enjoyed my View-Master. Particulary I remember my reels of Batman vs. Joker, Bugs Bunny, Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, 20,000 leagues under the sea, and many others. In fact, I’m enthusiastic about stereoscopic vision of any kind.

When I lost my viewer and reels where lost too, I rediscovered the classic anagliphyc glasses, and learn how to do stereoscopic images with my Photoshop Software. At college once, me and a friend of mine had this chore about a slide presentation with a song as score. He found in his home a Spiderman LP with a track from the tv cartoon, in wich friendly neighboring fights against Scorpion -not the metal band! We used the track for our presentation and 3-D anaglyphic images we drew, and the final touch, we provided our classmates and teacher too with red and blue anaglyphic glasses, and we hit the bar!

Later then I improve my stereoscopic technique and made a lot of 3-D images for my personal enjoyment. Since I’m havin’ plenty of time here, I going to practice again with tons of ideas I want to try. So I started surfin’ the Web for necesary items.

As you may know, Internet become a bolder tool through time -well, I’m sure you knew this; but it’s time to remark this awesome items you must have if you like 3D stuff:

You’ll gonna needa a good pair of anaglyphic glasses for watching this good pair of… pictures.

… and who doesn’t like bikes?

Gypsies lives in between superstition and myth, as in the twilight zone. Jimmi Hendrix, Santana and Deep Purple, were influenced by gypsy culture, by mention a few.

The post’s title came from my friend Eskani, who was there when that little dicussion about somebody’s sister’s butt turned into a knifes argument. Violence is not my style, but music is my life. By that time, I buyed this curious album: Karmen (with a happy ending), composed, arranged & produced by Goran Bregovi?.

“He is undoubtedly the key figure of the Balkan cultural tapestry.” said Camille Neveux, and I don’t know what the heck he means, but sounds like it’s the real deal.

Goran Bregovic, who added to his fame with the Emir Kusturica film “Times of the Gypsies” (1989), was not satisfied with the tragic ending, believing Gypsies prefer the happily-ever-after conclusions. ”The Gypsies don’t have operas. Bizet composed for the first time a piece dedicated to the gypsies. I decided to change it, and to finish with a happy ending. Because all the stories about Gypsies are sad and tragic. So, for the first time, the Gypsies have their opera, which must end with a wedding. It’s a small piece people can play at parties or weddings… I don’t have the intention to become opera composer!”

So I discovered this peculiar album that isn’t sad or violent but joyful. Althought is a little hard-listening, it has a spirit of its own, an energic happy feeling, and brilliant arrangments.

Hey dudes! I’m so happy ’cause tomorrow is to celebrate the greatest ever pop band with the world’s first Beatles Day. The event on July 10 will mark the 44th anniversary of the Fab Four’s triumphant homecoming to Liverpool after they conquered America in 1964. FAB Four fans are getting ready to join in the fun at Liverpool’s first Beatles Day. Tomorrow’s event will run from early morning Beatles serenades to Imagine: The Concert playing hits right into the evening.

“Money (That’s What I Want)”

That’s remind me my past article about Apple Corps (a company created by music legends The Beatles to handle their business interests) and talking with both Activision and MTV Games about possible Beatles-themed games. Apple Corps has been notoriously hesitant to use its licensing power in the past. For years, Apple Corps’ reluctance staved off the CD format. The Beatles music is not available online through iTunes, an almost essential step for bands nowadays. Explain this is easy, even they followed the struggle of a unknow band at the begining, they finally made their own path in music bussiness.

Quoting the Daily Mirrow (November 5, 1963): “You have to be a real sour square not to love the nutty, noisy, happy, handsome Beatles. If they don’t sweep your blues away, brother, you’re a lost cause. If they don’t put a beat in your feet, sister, you’re not listening.”

And the list goes on -Queen, Aerosmith, etc., but now I remember something: when I was attending my carreer, a friend of mine of that time -a huge metal fan, said to me: “yep, but that’s ol’stuff, and Nirvana rules today”, by that time Kurt Cobain where still among us. Later those days, we were watching this interview with Kurt Cobain, when he answer to a particular question: “John Lennon is my bigest inffluence ever…” or so, I remember. My brick-headed-buddy just crossed arms and kept his f*****g mouth shut!

Yeah! I do love Beatles , they made my Life’ Soundtrack. When I was attending high school, I bought all their vinil src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=theboredit-20&l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />re-editions, spending all the money I can got. By that time, compact-disc revolution strikes the music market and there I was, buying again Beatles’ Albums. But there’s nothing as the vinil records, is not only because of the analogyc sound, but covers, flip books, posters and other add-ons. And of course, the rumours and urban legends behind The Beatles, like the Paul McCartney’s death and his eventual sustitution.

And here’s the best of all rumours: “Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearths Club Band” albumhave L.S.D., I do not refer at “Lucy in the Sky with Diamons” -wich is part of the track list, but in the cover! Can you imagine this? Few drops of L.S.D. on the cover will be enough for getting high! But an urban legend at last -My album copy it’s all wrinkled and I got notting but a dry tongue!

‘Till tomorrow, dudes, get prepare for the first Beatles’ Day, while I prepare a “special mojo spell” at the office’s kitchen, in orden of tunning my co-workes with best music ever made!

I visited monstersvsaliens.com and looks good, with funny caracters an amazing cast and interesting story about a Califormia Girl (nice star) who’s unexpectedly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk -those space rocks, so untrustable!. As a result of this crappy incident, she grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall, and is instantly labeled a “monster” named Ginormica. And guess what? Military jumps into action -surprised? and she is captured and held in a Secret Goverment compound -can’t belive it! The world soon will learns that the military has been quietly rounding up other monsters over the years -I rather prefer space rocks than military.

Cast is super cool, with Reese Witherspoon (’Walk the Line’, ‘American Psycho’) as Susan Murphy a.k.a. Ginormica; Golden Globe Winner Hugh Laurie (who doesn’t like Dr. House?) as Dr. Cockroach, PhD. and other amazing actors.

I just love the idea: Monsters vs. Aliens! It’s time to play with some of my favourite monsters toys: glow in the dark Zombies -get yours! but be careful, don’t miss the ‘How to survive a Horror Movie’ book, it’s a must be in every monsterhunter’s library, explaining topics as convince skeptical Local Sheriff, how to perform and exorcism, etc.

I got a new favourite fruit: Scientists with the Texas A&M’s Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center have found that an organic compound found in watermelon acts somewhat similar to sildenafil citrate, better known under its brand name: Viagra.

This is bad, really guys, we gotta do something: A major threat facing corals is climate change, the report says, which affects coral reefs in multiple ways.

If I wasn’t so determinated, I’ll surely apply for a spaceman carreer, but I swore that I’ll go to the Moon -or Tattooine, only in the Millenium Falcon or another such cool ship. When that happens, I’ll stop writting and become a smuggler.

Now, as a hired IT with nothing else to do (I really hate this guy, makes me feel useless!), I’m getting superfun surfin’ the Web, and visiting my favorite sites, like NASA’s. And guess what I found, an excelent documental of the Evolution of the NASA Spacesuit.

I can’t help laughing at the weirdests outfits used in real science, like this Proyect Mercury suit (1959) looks like a baked potato, can you imagine? You go to this fancy french restaurant, order the Cordon Bleu stake and waiter ask ‘would you like to order our special John Gleen potato sider, monsieur?’

I think the coolest thing in these suits are the boots, Surely they inspired KISS, and I love KISS.

Project Apollo changed that silvered-knight-style and lead space fashion to a flat colored gear. I mean, this was the sixties, man! Where are the colors, where are the psychedelic Andy Warhol’s inffluence? The Seventies added some color and -I must say- I like it a little… but -and here’s my complain- why this stoopid marshmallow look? I mean, remember Stay Puft Man from Ghostbusters? Add a Donal Duck’s hat and it’s the same guy!

This is one of the dumest models: wore by John Young and Robert Crippen in 1981, and where are the rock-star boots? Come on! Gold is good in a watch or in a ring -even a tie- but who’ll wear all in gold? Cher and C-3PO maybe? At last C-3PO uses a silver leg and Cher… well she wore ONLY ear rings, wich is cool!

Space-look is not the same than Space Luke. The shuttle crew’ suit is cooler but not as much as Luke Skywalker’s Red Five suit. And, you know what? space shuttle’s is nicknamed the “pumpink suit”, I wouldn’t use it even in Halloween!

Future looks nicer, but not really “in”, I guess this is a technical issue and not a lack of creativity. Even I’m entusiastic about space missions, the little child inside me shouts aloud: Yeah, but Han Solo kicks ass with his savage outfit… and MF it’s the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs!

N.B. NASA guys and spaceship crews inspire me respect and admiration. They do a terrific job here and there. Please, don’t missunderstand me, ’cause I only make jokes ’bout people I like, just as this peanut-brained boss o’ mine!

We have tried everything: cooking lessons, pilates sesions, origami, etc. Boring, boring, boring! We need some action here, muzak as loud as posible and a six-pack -it’s friday anyway. But, what kind o’music? Who’s the best band of all, trought time and style? If your answer is The Beatles, then you’re right! You’re well informed and educated, for sure! If you answered som’thing else, you’re in the wrong post. Everyone wants to get a piece of the Fab Four’s music and make oodles of boodle for themselves through either commercial usage, digital downloads, or even appearing in videogaming.

So, you’re still reading? good for you. After a failed war at the office, we decided to be pro-peace (please, read this!), that’s why we’re forming a band. We’ve been practicing with Guitar Hero (Activision) and Rock Band (MTV Games) and we were ready to beat the charts. While “Sgt. Larry’s Bored Geeks Club Gang” is ready to beat the charts, something new is cooking and smells good!

According to Financial Times, reps for the British music legends are currently in talks with both Activision (Guitar Hero) and MTV Games (Rock Band) in regards to potentially bringing Beatles master recordings to either rhythm game. Both Activision and MTV Games have not outright said that they have been gunning for Beatles rights.

This note makes me recall that, back in March, we heard rumblings about interest in a Beatles solo-Guitar Hero game similar to what’s going on with Aerosmith and Metallica. Around that same time, rumors of Beatles songs going to iTunes hit and gave signs of a potentially broadening license catalog where there virtually was none before.

What this means is that we know for sure the rights holders have interest in bringing out the songs; the question now is: who will get them? A victor might be found quickly as a deal could be “reached in a matter of weeks.” E3 fits into that time frame; perhaps we’ll know then?

Anyway, as dude Larry said to me this morning: If Beatles on videogame became a reallity, this will bring close Beatles’ Fans to videogames and videogamers to The Beatles. Finally, if this approaches common people to the expierience to be a Beatle, a game in wich you could play Hugh Hefner’s life would be a tremendous success!!!

Wake me up when this come true!

My Feng-Shui guru told me to place a green plant in a pot, near to the north corner of my office, and I found this original 1up Mushrooms, is the perfect plant for me, doesn’t need water or care, maybe just a wet sponge for clening dust. By adding your own soil, you create the illusion that it has grown from the pot (the Grow Your Own 1Up Mushroom is really a vinyl collectable that does not actually grow). So green corner, huh?

Next step: an image of power behind you. Fu-Tong told me to hang in my wall a frame with a powerfull image, like a mountain or so, in order to atrack cosmo’s energy to your self. But, a mountain? what am I? a boy scout? Let’s hang -or stick- a real image of power that really freaks everyone: Darth Vader. Nothing intimidates like a 7 foot tall Sith Lord in black armor! If your sissy mind-weak co-workers are not impressed, try a tiny green creature with big ears and a bigger schwartz will instill fear in the hardest of enemies. But if you really want your pals to kiss the walls, a vicious Mandalorian bounty-hunter can frighten most. I pick Vader. And, should I mention that Darks side of the force is kinda cosmo’s energy? Have it all with this lifesize Star Wars Wall Clings.

And one more Feng-Shui stuff: Atrack money with oriental phillosophy by having near to you a magnet -or a lot! Theory says that a small piece of magnet will atrack to you affluence; so then, the Strongest Permanent Magnets Ever Manufactured shoul do a better job, dontcha think? These Curiously Strong magnets have amazing strength in a very small size. Five to fifteen times the strength of common fridge magnets, these magnets can lift 400 times their own weight in steel. Their power will astonish you.

Maybe this is just crap, maybe is not Feng-Shui, but come on! If you´re waiting for solve your problems with nothing more than phillosophy, at least you should have some fun!
