The SINdicator -will it work?

I am just testing the SINdicator model from Keith Baxter.
The theory sounds very good and I generally trust the advice from Keith. Still, every method has to be tested before drawing a conclusion. So, I made 4 sites followipng the instructions from the videos and I am hoping to cash some results in the next weeks.

Will it be a killer marketing method? I will let you know my results.

I just loved the theme and had to get it. However, it just looks awful right now. It still needs cutomization to look as good as the one in the demo site.

Sick of Video

Have you noticed how more and more marketers use video to present their new products, services or even blog posts? (doesn’t anyone write anymore?)

I used to be able to go trought 20 or more emails checking what they were about and going deeper in the ones I liked more, because I could scan the content and decide if I needed or wanted to read more.

Now, it’s almost imposible because all I receive are videos. I just checked my pending emails, and there are 12 emails with a link to a video. Now, let’s say they average 15 minutes each. That would take me three hours to watch! and this is from a single day!

Really, it has come to just erase everything that says “video” and go for blog posts instead.

To the marketers out there: don’t use so much video!!

Airplanes. why the shades have to be up?

This is something that was bothering me for a while. Everytime you are on a plane, the flight atendands ask you to put up the shades when landing or taking off.

So, at wiki answers I found this:

The reason why they want all shades up is because, airlines rely on passenger’s vision of the whole outer aircraft. The only people who can see the engines and what happens in the surroundings, are their passengers. Crew who are seated at their crew seats, will not be able to see a whole lot of the plane’s exterior. And obviously, planes do not have rear view or side view mirrors.

Thinking from a passenger’s point of view, if you see something wrong going on outside, you would panic and call for the flight attendant immediately. Right? So that is how, flight crew would be alerted if anything goes wrong: by the passengers.

As for closing them at night, it differs with airlines. Most major airlines (SIA, MAS, Cathay pacific, Qantas) would still ask you to have it remain open, but they will turn off the cabin lights. (I actually don’t know which airlines would ask you to close the shade as it is a safety procedure) Same thing, when you turn off the lights, you would be able to see the outside of the plane and report for anything that goes wrong.

To tell you the truth, it stills seems a little strange to me. All that technology and you still have to look out and yell if you see something? I don’t know about you, but to me it looks like an old solution.

Fondling In Bed

I want a Keyboard for my iPhone

I got my iPhone a couple of months ago, after being a loyal blackberry user for more than three years. I just had the little comptraption! it really is a great gadget.

After using it extensively for some time, I have to say that I do love a lot of it’s features. Specially the navigation. The safari is really smoth when you are reading a blog, checking stats or just surfing.

However, the keyboard really sucks (or I suck when trying to type on that!). It’s really impossible to get anything written without a hundred errors. Maybe I should get a keyboard?

There is a range of keyboard solutions for the iPhone, although none of them is a definitive solution.

There’s the “MacAlly BTKeyMini Apple iPhone keyboard Blue Tooth”, (long name for keyboard for iPhone), but I couldn’t find it in the MacAlly website, so maybe they are not producing it anymore.

The 4iThumbs sounds like a good idea, but the installation looks like a pain in the ass. (plus the ad sucks)

Now the iTwinge iPhone Keyboard looks promising, and is more like a real keyboard solution.

I think I will try this last one, since it seems the most practical solution.

Off I go to back-order.

Google ban crusade

Google is on a crusade to ban and clean up all the internet. Well, at leat their adwords’ clients.
Yesterday i got an email about my adwords account being banned. Strange since I hadn’t used that account for over 6 months.

Today, I read on adhustler just the same, and he mentions a number of other affiliates reporting the same.

I do agree with the big G that you have to weed out sitesbthat are bad experience to the consumer (rebills mostly) or make false claims (like fake news sites), but it’s such a thin line that it seems they just decided to ban everything affiliate related. ”Does it looks like an affiliate site? Ban it!”

I’ve seen this commming for some time And widely commented on ppc coach forums.

If you are an afiliate, you just have two options: try a diferent approach to adwords, or just move to other ppc engines.

As always, evolve to stay ahead of the crowd.

Humping Dogs

Harley and Duke are naughty doggies. They won’t eat out of their food bowls; they track mud all over the place; they are constantly burying our pens; and they have a peculiar naughtiness whenever they spy a free USB port. They…well…they sort of, kind of, um… “go to town,” if you will. And they won’t stop until you um…separate them from the source of their affections.

Why are they like this? We have no idea. It doesn’t serve any purpose, but it’s what they do. They are insatiable. And that’s all we really have to say. Harley is brown and Duke is black, and you can take your pick. Oh, and don’t worry – if the kids ask what the doggie is doing to your computer, just say, “He’s trying to jump over the computer, but he got a little stuck,” or “The computer is giving him a piggyback ride.” Either will suffice.

Each dog is about 2.25″ tall and requires USB power to get turned on. Sorry, we had to.
